Prayer for Stength & Protection

Dear God,

Please help me to be enlivened and empowered by your Holy Spirit who lives in me. 

Please help me to draw upon the eternal living water at the source of my being. 

Please help me to glide past the monsters in the shadows who whisper I’m not worthy, I’m broken, and all is lost. 

Please protect me with your angels of wisdom and mercy. 

Please let their shields surround me at all times. 

Please help me to forgive those who have hurt me. 

Please help me not to stew in anger, resentment, bitterness, or rage. 

Please empty my heart of all punishing and vengeful feelings. 

Please fill my heart with your inexhaustible love, your unfathomable peace, and your unconquerable mercy. 

Please help me to lean on YOU at this time of personal challenge. 

Please help me to look to YOU during these moments of intense inner struggle. 

Please give me a heart big enough to hold all of this and the willingness to surrender it all to you, Lord. 

Please help me to let my inner control freak step aside. 

Thank you for loving me with such great love.
