Integration
Socially acceptable behaviors and appearances are a huge pressure that everyone is conditioned into from a young age. Not only are there certain gender behaviors expected depending on if you are a man or a woman, but there are also just general “adulting'“ checkboxes to be marked.
To make it even more complex and baffling, even when “normal life” things happen like aging, for instance, if you are a woman it is more socially acceptable to hide evidence like gray hair and wrinkles than to age naturally.
As far as sexuality goes, porn has become a huge thing that everyone has access to instantly and, even in this arena, there are additional pressures and largely unreasonable expectations that many people have.
Perhaps never before have we lived in a society where there was so much pressure to both “fit in” and “shine.” Stand out, but not too much. Think different, but not TOO different. Choose your own politics and religion, but for God’s sake, CHOOSE one and keep out any perspectives that differ with vigilance and fear.
How does one who has experienced not only extraordinary experiences and deeper aspects of oneself than are openly discussed integrate these energies in order to fit in with the current human order?
It depends.
Fear would tell you to choose a side. Pick a religion. Pick a wing. Buy our stuff. Solidify your ego. Choose something because you don’t want to be left out in the cold.
What does love say? Love says, “Watch.” Love says, “Listen.” Love says, “Wait.” Love says, “Fear not, for I am with you.”
Love says, “Be confident, be proud, but also be humble, be kind.”
Love says, “Be strong, be bold, but also be gentle.”
Integration is a process and, like any process, it takes time.
It doesn’t happen overnight and sometimes it looks like nothing is happening at all, but it is.
Things are weaving together on a level we often cannot see.
While on the surface, things appear uneven or chaotic, beneath it lies a higher order, a good will, a Love.
